Tragedy struck on Highway 40 Sunday morning. A 2006 tan Impala was traveling eastbound on Highway 40 near the UDOT sheds at mile marker 43 while a 2014 Grey Dodge pickup was eastbound in the same area.

A missing fisherman on Flaming Gorge is presumed drowned as crews continue their search for the man. The Daggett County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a suspicious vehicle on the boat ramp at Cedar Springs Marina at 8:30am on Friday, January 20th.

2017 Burbot Bash a Success
Anglers turned out for the pursuit to catch the ugliest fish in the west over the weekend at Flaming Gorge. 201 teams amounting to 653 fishermen participated in the 2017 Burbot Bash hauling in a total of 3,918 fish.

The numbers are in and 2016 saw an increase in visitation to Dinosaur National Monument. According to the Monument news release, December visitation showed a 13.8 percent increase compared to December 2015.
