‘Potential Threat’ On USU Campus A False Alarm
An Aggie Alert indicating a potential threat on the USU Uintah Basin campus was found to be a false alarm on Monday morning. The alert was sent out at about 9am stating that there was “a potential threat on/near” the school’s Vernal campus.
Repeat Offender Arrested For DUI And Drug Possession In Maeser
A repeat DUI offender was arrested in Uintah County on Friday. A trained K9 deployed on the vehicle and gave a positive indication. A search of the vehicle yielded tin foil with fentanyl in the center console.

Man Rams Vehicles In Vernal Parking Lot; Arrested On DUI
A man who caused extensive damage to multiple cars in a Vernal parking lot on Friday was arrested for DUI. Officers were dispatched to a parking lot and found a red Ram pickup high-centered and the parking lot littered with debris.
