Man Enters Guilty Plea to Murder in Moffat County
A man plead guilty and was sentenced for murder in Moffat County Court Thursday, June 23rd. The case began in November 2020 when around 5:30pm on November 30th the Moffat County Sheriff’s office was notified that a man’s body had been found in a remote area of northwest Moffat County.

The public is invited to a hearing during the Duchesne County Planning Commission meeting next week. A public hearing with the Public Lands Committee will be held at 5:00pm on July 6th in the County Commission Chambers.
New Moonshine Arch Access Now Open
The new access to the Moonshine Arch Trail is now open. According to the UDOT announcement, the new access has been moved further north to a straight section of Highway 191. This, along with the new turn lane, has increased safety for motorists.
Rainbow Family Of Living Light Gathering In Western Colorado

According to the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office, local law enforcement leaders have been meeting with local, state and federal partners since the Rainbow Family announced the location of this year’s annual gathering on June 14th.

The Primary Election is coming up Tuesday, June 28th. In Duchesne County, the only location for voting is at the Clerk/Auditor’s office at 734 North Center Street in Duchesne.
