KNEU 1250Mike McKee, Director of the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition, recently provided an update on the Uintah Basin Railroad during a Vernal Chamber event. McKee reports that the Uintah Basin Railroad Project is on schedule and was recently granted conditional approval based on the completion of the environmental study.
Snow is in the forecast and Roosevelt City has provided a timely reminder to community members. “On snowy days, please make sure that you move all vehicles [and] trash cans off the roadways so that our plows can get through,” shares the reminder.
COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed in the Uintah Basin and TriCounty Health provided an update on Eagle Country 105.5 KLCY on Tuesday morning. As of Friday, 760 vaccines had been administered through the health department.
After a 5-month long investigation, the Uintah County Attorney’s Office has released its findings from the investigation into operations of the Roosevelt City Animal Shelter. The 4-page report’s conclusion stated: “Although the activities of Ms. Stevenson and Furever Buddys Rescue do not appear to violate Utah Code concerning the misuse of public funds, it is apparent that the lax oversight of the Shelter by Roosevelt City has created the current problems.
Ashley Regional Medical Center announced Tuesday that they are offering a new therapy for treatment of non-hospitalized patients with a mild or moderate case of COVID-19. The hospital is among the first in the Uintah Basin to offer the new monoclonal antibody therapy.
