Uintah High Boys Wrestling dominated the competition last weekend to winning the 4A Division A crown by 109 points over Mountain View.The Utes have 28 wrestlers qualify for state with one state alternate. “That’s the highest number of state qualifiers we’ve ever had,” Coach Phillip Keddy said.
Both Ute boys and girls swim teams finished second at the Region 8 Championships. Region champs include: Alexander Spainhower, Jaten Barraclough, Keith Caldwell and Jarom Thomas.

After an overtime victory over the Payson Lions, the Ute Soccer team headed to St. George Tuesday to take on the fourth ranked Crimson Cliffs Mustangs.The couldn’t find the back of the net, losing to the Mustangs 4-0 ending their chance at state.
The 15th ranked Uintah Boys baseball team headed to St. George last Thursday and Friday for a best of three series with the 2nd ranked Snow Canyon Warriors for the 4A tournament second round. The Warriors proved their ranking beating the Utes 10-0 on Thursday and 7-2 on Friday, ending the season for the Utes.
