Man Charged After Stealing Vehicle And Keying Corvette

A Vernal man is being held without bail after allegedly committing a series of crimes this month. According to the Probable Cause Statement, 42-year-old Justin Fosmire stole a vehicle from RISE Services and later abandoned the stolen vehicle by leaving it in front of a private driveway. The stolen vehicle was severely damaged with an appraisal estimating the damages to be over $7,500 dollars. During this same time period, Fosmire also allegedly keyed a Corvette in front of a car dealership causing approximately $3,400 in damage and stole a case of alcoholic beverages from a gas station. Fosmire is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Theft, 2nd Degree Felony Property Damage, 3rd Degree Felony Property Damage, and Misdemeanor Theft.
