KNEU 1250Roosevelt City was successful on Thursday in securing funding for the Stonegate Subdivision sewer project. The Community Impact Board approved a $2 million dollar grant with a $500,000 dollar loan at zero percent interest for the project.

The first of two budget reopeners for Vernal City was held during Wednesday’s city council meeting. City Manager Ken Bassett explained that the first reopener comes at this time of the fiscal year so that the city knows exactly where it sits in revenues and expenditures in order to make any adjustments before the end of the fiscal year.
James Hudson Main, Jr. made his first appearance in 8th District Court this week on charges tied to a string of crimes committed last October. Main Jr. faces a long list of charges in Utah and Colorado after a two day crime spree that included kidnapping, assault, and the alleged aggravated murder of his own father.
