KNEU 1250The Uintah County Commission approved the vacation of a road that intersects Skinwalker Ranch during a November Commission meeting. The Hicken Ranch Road intersects the property that is known throughout the region and beyond for stories of paranormal activity with warnings to stay away heeded by many locals.
Local law enforcement will join many throughout the state at the funeral services for Trooper Eric Ellsworth who will be laid to rest in the Brigham City Cemetery on Wednesday. Trooper Eric Ellsworth was hit by a vehicle near Garland City in northern Utah while he responded to a call of low hanging power lines on November 18th.

The Utah Division of Water Resources released its latest update to the state water plan this month and the Uintah Basin is its focus. Over the last 26 years, the state has devised statewide water plans as well as individual plans for each of the state’s 11 major hydrological river basins, of which the Uintah Basin is included.

According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Department, the spike in burglaries took place over the last two weeks and covered homes in Ballard, Lapoint and areas around Vernal in just Uintah County but areas throughout the region have been hit.

Today marks 10 years since Uintah County Sheriff’s Detective Kevin Orr lost his life in a helicopter crash during a search and rescue mission. Community members gathered on Saturday to remember this great man’s life with his family.
