No Disaster Declaration for Flooding Damage

Local damage due to flooding will not be be qualified as a Disaster Declaration. According to Uintah County Emergency Management Director Tal Ehlers, the flooding was a tragic inconvenience to several homes and businesses but the damage does not come anywhere close to qualifying for disaster funds.

Uintah Basin Medical Center Lockdown for Gun Sighting

The Uintah Basin Medical Center was on lockdown this morning after a person was seen entering the facility with two rifles. According to Roosevelt Police Chief Rick Harrison, Roosevelt Police were notified by the UBMC ER department that Life Flight personnel in Salt Lake, who had been watching helipad monitors at UBMC, saw a person going into UBMC though the door near the helipad with what appeared to be two rifles.

Wasatch Front Man Arrested on Duchesne County Warrant

A Sandy man was arrested in Salt Lake County without incident after 8th District Court Judge Samuel P. Chiara issued a warrant for his arrest last Thursday, September 22nd. Court records show that 37-year-old Jared Stephen Morgan faces charges of Aggravated Human Trafficking, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Rape, Forcible Sodomy, and Aggravated Kidnapping; all 1st Degree Felonies.
