KNEU 1250Dinosaur National Monument has plenty of cool specimens on display to brag about, not the least of which is it's baby Camarasaurus. In 1917, Paleontologist Earl Douglass found the most complete sauropod (a long necked, long tailed dinosaur) ever found, a Camarasaurus.
It's been a tough two months for house fires in the Uintah Basin with half a dozen or more families displaced after their homes were a total loss. Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymonds shares that the cause of the most recent fire remains unknown but some others last month were related to electrical issues.

The TriCounty Health District COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels reports Uintah County and Duchesne County at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County at the Low Transmission Level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 16 percent and there were 157 cases in the past 14 days.
2020 showed a significant decrease in fatal vehicle crashes in northwest Colorado which showed roads were far safer than most other areas across the state. According to Colorado State Patrol, the District 4 region (which includes Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Routt Counties) was over 25 percent safer than in 2019.

The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office with the help of state troopers were able to successfully stop a car that had been reported stolen and was then involved in a hundred mile chase on Monday.
