KNEU 1250A series of suspicious fires near Rangely have led a joint investigation between the Rangely Police Department and the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend a 17-year-old juvenile. On March 31st and April 1st the Rangely Fire Department responded to two small brush fires, one near La Mesa Circle and one near Halfturn Road.

US-191 in Daggett County was closed for several hours on Wednesday following a crash. According to Utah Highway Patrol, a garbage truck traveling south at Mile Marker 390 went off the road and tipped onto its side, spilling trash onto the road.

An important Vernal City project is now underway. Vernal City shared on Tuesday evening that work has begun to install a storm drain bypass at Main Street from 600 West to the green dinosaur. The project will also include replacement of a section of corroded storm drain pipe between 800 West and 700 West.
