KNEU 1250Dinosaur National Monument is embracing a new National Park Service policy. According to a press release issued on Monday, starting today, October 1st, visitors to Dinosaur National Monument will be allowed to use e-bikes where traditional bicycles are allowed. “Bicycles and e-bikes are allowed on paved and unpaved roads that are open to the public,” shares the announcement. “Bicycles and e-bikes are not allowed on any trails in the monument.
The Utah Department of Health announced their findings to date of the investigation into vaping-related lung injury in the state. As of Monday, September 30th, 71 cases of vaping-related lung injury have been reported and 10 additional cases are under review. Given the evidence, the Department of Health has announced that “vaping THC cartridges or ‘carts’ are the likely driver of the outbreak of severe lung injury and as such the Department of Health is recommending that people do not vape THC cartridges until more is known.
A series of open house meetings have been scheduled this month as Ashley National Forest is inviting the public to ask questions about the forest planning process underway. According to plan revision team leader Cathleen Neelan, they are asking for public comment on each of the items that were published in a package of documents on September 10th for public review.

The woman arrested for stabbing her boyfriend in Vernal on Monday has been officially charged and is being held in Uintah County Jail on no bail. 21-year-old Meikel Kaylee Cameron has been charged in 8th District Court with 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault.
