Todd Hull, the accident took place on September 7th at 2:26pm at Mile Post 67 just west of the rest area. An 18-year-old female attempted to pass a semi traveling eastbound and drove her vehicle into oncoming traffic.
The Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking information on a Uintah County poaching case. On Wednesday, August 22nd, a dead doe was discovered in the area of East McKee Road off Highway 191, shares the DWR.

Roosevelt Police Chief Rick Harrison is adding his voice to those urging pedestrians and drivers to use caution in and around crossing zones. “We remind drivers to stop at marked crosswalks as soon as a pedestrian approaches the crosswalk,” shares Chief Harrison.

The Uintah Basin Board of Realtors ‘Back to School’ Carnival has grown each year and is set up for another big year. Roosevelt City is wrapping up two big construction projects this week. 800 South has been an ongoing construction project involving new utility lines, storm drains, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and asphalt. “The utility portion of the project will be completed this week,” shares the Roosevelt Bulletin.
The Dollar Ridge Fire-Aid Fair in August provided ample opportunity for entertainment and fun in addition to the chance to be charitable and support the victims of the Dollar Ridge Fire. Among the incentives to participate was a drawing for an enclosed 17’ Haulmark utility trailer for the early birds at the Jamie O’Neal concert on Saturday night.
Dinosaur National Monument is participating in a new education program that will bring 5th grade students to experience the great outdoors. According to Monument Chief of Visitor Services Dan Johnson, the grant from the Eccles Foundation supports the ‘Concrete to Canyons’ program in which students learn camping skills having to spend three days in the great outdoors.
