The Uintah Recreation District will be having a soft opening of the Community Center per the Public Health Order 2020-02 starting Monday, April 20th. There are several things to note before showing up. First, there is no open swim, spin classes, or team sports.

Crews started mobilizing on April 16th so that a new sidewalk project can start on Monday, April 20th. The TriCounty Health Situational Update report on Wednesday morning showed an additional case of COVID-19 in Duchesne County bringing the total to 4 in Duchesne County, 6 in Uintah County, and 0 in Daggett County for a grand total of 10.
TriCounty Health Department announced Wednesday morning that free COVID-19 drive-through testing will be available starting Thursday, April 16th. The following is from the announcement: TriCounty Health Department (TCHD) is partnering with testutah.com and our local hospitals to expand the capacity for COVID-19 testing in the Uintah Basin.
Uintah County Commissioners are among those expressing their support for expanding COVID-19 testing in the area. “This partnership between TriCounty Health, testutah.com, and our local hospital should help us get a better idea of how many people in our area have come in contact with coronavirus,” shares Commission Chairman Brad Horrocks.
The Duchesne County School District announced Wednesday their plans for 2020 graduation ceremonies. "Right now the plan is to work with VTV to create virtual graduations," shares Student Services Director Scott Forsyth.
