It’s time to clean out the medicine cabinet and properly dispose of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Drug Take Back day is being held this Saturday in Vernal and Roosevelt, put on by local law enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

High School Football Backs the Blue

A feeling of unity dominated a night of rivalry high school football on Wednesday at the Duchesne at Altamont football game. Both teams, cheerleaders, drill teams and Boy Scouts coordinated a special tribute night honoring the deputies of the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office starting with dinner and followed by a halftime recognition show.

Duchesne County Man Charged with Forcible Sodomy

A Duchesne County man is charged in 8th District Court with two counts of 1st Degree Forcible Sodomy. The charging document states that the crime committed by 53-year-old Relonzo Mark Duane occurred on or about July 10th, 2015, and that the act was without consent with a person 14 years of age or older.

Election Ballots Arriving Around the Basin

Most folks around the Basin have received their election ballots in the mail and if you weren’t yet registered to vote, it’s not too late. The deadline to register to vote is November 1st and can be done physically at the county clerk’s office or by visiting www.vote.utah.gov.
